- 1 head of cabbage (sliced and chopped)
- 6 pieces of bacon (cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 2 tablespoons stone-ground mustard
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- Kosher salt (adjust to taste)
- Freshly ground black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

- Heat a large pan over medium heat, then add the sliced bacon, and cook until crispy.
- Transfer the crispy bacon to a towel-lined plate and remove the bacon grease from the pan, leaving 2 tablespoons in the pan.
