Ingredients
- 1 cup Whole milk, warmed
- 115 grams of Butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 4 cups All-purpose flour
- 7 grams of Active dry yeast
- Egg wash (beaten egg plus a splash of milk)
- Sea salt for garnish
Steps
- Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in the bowl of a stand mixer. Allow the yeast to rest for 10 minutes.
- Add butter, eggs, salt, and flour, and mix with the paddle attachment.
- Allow the wet dough to sit for 10 minutes.
- With the dough hook, knead the dough on medium speed for 10 minutes. The dough should climb up the hook.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover lightly with a towel. Rest until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F/190 °C.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 15 even balls.
- Place dough balls in a 9 x 13 baking pan and brush lightly with egg wash. Sprinkle with sea salt, if desired.
