Total Time: 25 mins
Ingredients
- 1 (1-lb.) log Pillsbury sugar cookie dough
- Various nonpareils in holiday colors, for decorating
- 1 (9-oz.) box Pillsbury Shape cookie dough
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Take the sugar cookie dough out of the wrapper. Cut it into 16 slices about 1/2 inch thick.
- Roll each slice into a ball, then press it down with your hand to make a round disk about 1/2 inch thick.
- Divide your nonpareils by color into separate plates. You need about 1/4 cup of each color. Roll each dough disk in the nonpareils until fully covered.
- Place them on two parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake the cookies until they start to spread, about 2 minutes.
- While they bake, open the pack of Pillsbury Shape cookies and separate them. Put one Shape cookie on top of each sugar cookie.
- Bake again until the edges turn golden brown, about 10 to 12 more minutes.
- You can make these cookies up to 2 days in advance. Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature.
