Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies
- 1 3/4 cups (90 g.) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 cup (110 g.) packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (50 g.) granulated sugar, plus more for rolling
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- Hershey Kisses, for topping
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
Directions
- Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the butter and peanut butter until smooth. Add the brown sugar and white sugar and beat until the mixture looks light and fluffy. Mix in the egg, then add the milk and vanilla. Slowly add the dry ingredients and beat on low speed until everything is just mixed together.
- Pour some white sugar onto a plate. Roll 2 tablespoons of dough into a ball, then roll the ball in the sugar. Place it on the baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the dough, leaving at least 2 inches between each ball.
- Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, until they look puffy and no longer look raw. They won’t turn brown.
- Right after baking, press a Hershey’s Kiss on top of each cookie. Then serve.
